Morad live in Malta — 27 July 2026
Morad had already played in Malta in 2025 at Gianpula Village — a first contact between the Barcelona rapper and the island's French-speaking scene. He returned on 27 July 2026 to the same stage, with a heavier discography and an even more established reputation across Europe.
Morad El Khattouti El Horami grew up in the La Florida neighbourhood of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, in the southern suburbs of Barcelona, to Moroccan parents. He started rapping at 14, recorded his first songs over WhatsApp, and released MDLR in 2019 — Mec De La Rue, a slogan borrowed from French banlieue rap and reworked in Spanish. Motorola hit number one on YouTube in Spain in November 2020. The Bizarrap Music Session Vol. 47 in 2021 confirmed his status — number one on the PROMUSICAE chart for two weeks. Reinsertado in 2023 is his most complete project.
He sits between two cultures: the Spanish drill of Barcelona's neighbourhoods and a genuine closeness to French-speaking rap — Jul, Freeze Corleone, Central Cee, Koba LaD, Seven Binks. At Gianpula Village, Malta's largest open-air complex in Rabat — several stages at once, 4,000 people — it was his second summer on the island.
