October in Malta is the month the island breathes. It is still 25 °C, the sea is at 24 °C, flights and hotels are at their lowest of the year, and the calendar changes face: the clubs switch to winter mode, Valletta takes over with Notte Bianca and Birgu lights up by candlelight. What is left of the nightlife concentrates on Toy Room's Saturdays, and the daytime belongs to the sea and Gozo.

🎃 October nights at Toy Room: the Winter Editions
Toy Room is the only club in Paceville that keeps a regular programme in October. The daily summer parties are over: the club focuses everything on four Saturdays, with the winter editions of its three flagship concepts. Doors at 11pm, close at 4am, 17+ with photo ID. Tickets sell slower than in August, but capacity is reduced: book as soon as your dates are set.
✦Love Night — Winter Edition
Hip-hop, reggaeton and red lights — the Sunday concept moves to Saturday
Toy Room's most glamorous night is back in a winter version: a heavy selection of hip-hop, reggaeton and urban anthems under red, dimmed lights, the coloured wristband system to show your status, entertainers and Frank the Bear as master of ceremonies. Two dates in October, then a third on 14 November. The VIP ticket gives priority entry and access to the VIP area.
📅 October dates
✦Bad Bunnies — Winter Edition
Reggaeton, hip-hop and trap: Gianpula's summer party migrates to Toy Room
All summer long, Bad Bunnies packed Gianpula Village on Wednesdays. For the winter the concept moves into Toy Room: reggaeton, hip-hop and trap back to back, costumed entertainers, show on stage. One date in October, another on 28 November. The most danceable night of the month for anyone coming for the Latin sound.
✦Glow Night — Winter Edition
Laser shows, neon and UV effects — the island's most visual night, Saturday version
The summer's neon Wednesday becomes a winter Saturday: laser shows, glowing robots, neon lights and UV effects, dancers and entertainers, Frank the Bear in fluorescent mode. 24 October opens the series, which continues on 7 and 21 November. Come in white or in neon colours, the UV does the rest. The VIP ticket gives priority entry and access to the VIP area.
🚤 The sea in October: Blue Lagoon, Comino and Gozo
With the sea at 24 °C and beaches emptied of the August crowds, October is the best month of the year for the Blue Lagoon. Cruises run every day, the light is softer for photos, and prices are low-season prices.
✦Spirit of Malta — Comino Cruise
Catamaran, Blue Lagoon, open bar and buffet lunch — the all-inclusive day at sea
The Spirit of Malta catamaran links the Blue Lagoon, the Crystal Lagoon and the Comino caves, with swimming stops, open bar and buffet lunch on board. In October it sails almost every other day: the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 28th, 30th and 31st. The most complete formula for a day at sea with nothing to organise.
✦Hornblower Cruise — Gozo & Comino
Blue Lagoon, sea caves and snorkeling in one day, departing from Bugibba
The island's classic cruise: Blue Lagoon, the Comino caves, then a stop in Gozo, with mask and snorkel provided. The smart choice if you stay in the north (Bugibba, Qawra, Mellieħa) or want to see Gozo without spending the whole day there. Daily departures in October, weather permitting.
✦Blue Lagoon Cruise — Comino & sea caves
The best-selling half day in our catalogue, with pick-up at your hotel
Blue Lagoon and the Comino sea caves in half a day, with transfer from your hotel included. In October the water is still 24 °C and the lagoon gets its colour back without the summer crowds. A sunset version is available at the same price, to end the day at sea.
🏍️ Gozo by quad, buggy or tuk-tuk
October is the ideal month for Gozo: 25 °C, none of the August dust, and empty roads. Tours leave from your hotel in Malta, ferry included, by quad or buggy if you hold a licence, by tuk-tuk with a driver if not.
✦Gozo Quad — Full day with guide
Dwejra cliffs, Ta' Pinu, Ramla Bay: the island tour by quad, guide included
A whole day in Gozo by quad, with a guide who knows the tracks: Dwejra and its cliffs, the Ta' Pinu basilica, the red sand of Ramla Bay, the Marsalforn salt pans. Ferry, quad and guide included. A driving licence is required to drive, passengers welcome. Same formula by buggy at the same price.
✦Gozo by tuk-tuk — Full day with driver
The Gozo tour without driving: driver, photo stops and lunch in a village
The no-licence, no-effort version: a driver takes you around all day in a tuk-tuk, with the same stops as the quad tour and lunch in a Gozitan village. Ideal for a mixed group, a family, or anyone who would rather watch the scenery than the road. Ferry and pick-up included.

Going out in Malta in October 2026: what to expect?
October is the bargain month. The climate stays summery, the sea is still warm, and everything costs less: flights, hotels, restaurants. In return, the nightlife changes pace. The daily summer parties are over, Toy Room only runs on Saturdays, and Valletta takes over with its cultural events. Know it before you book: you come to Malta in October for the sea, Gozo and a few big nights, not to go out every evening.
25 °C by day, sea at 24 °C
October in Malta is warmer than June in most of Europe. The sea keeps its summer warmth until the end of the month: Blue Lagoon, snorkeling and jet ski stay on the menu. The sun sets around 6:30pm, so plan sea activities in the morning or early afternoon. A few storms are possible late in the month, rarely more than a day.
The clubs switch to Saturday mode
Toy Room keeps four Saturdays: Love Night on the 3rd and 17th, Bad Bunnies on the 10th, Glow on the 24th. The rest of the week, Paceville runs on its bars, open all year. If your dates are flexible, plan your stay around a weekend. On the 31st, Halloween is traditionally the biggest autumn night in Paceville: line-ups are confirmed during October.
Notte Bianca and Birgufest: Valletta and Birgu by night
On Saturday 3 October, Notte Bianca opens Valletta's museums, palaces and streets for free until the early hours, with concerts and shows across the capital. In mid-October, Birgufest lights up the alleys of Birgu by candlelight for a weekend. Two free nights worth a club night, to combine with Love Night on the 3rd at Toy Room.
The lowest prices of the year
Flights often under €100 return from most of Europe, hotels at half the August price, restaurants without a wait. Club entry stays at €25, cruises at €35, and tickets no longer sell out in a few hours: you can book a week ahead without stress, except for Halloween.
Where to stay in Malta in October?
Stay in St Julian's or Sliema if Toy Room's nights are your priority: Paceville is walkable and the cruises leave from Sliema Ferries. If you come for Notte Bianca and the cultural side, Valletta is finally affordable in October, and the ferry to Sliema takes ten minutes. For the Hornblower cruises, Bugibba is the right base.
