Event Description
Every year since 1997, G7 Events has kicked off the Maltese summer season with its First of May Special at Café del Mar Malta. The 2026 edition takes it a step further: for this open-air day-to-night event overlooking the Mediterranean, the lineup features Oliver Heldens .
Originally from Rotterdam, Oliver Heldens is one of the most influential artists on the global electronic music scene. Discovered at 17 by Tiësto with a demo sent from his bedroom, he exploded onto the scene in 2014 with Gecko (Overdrive) — number 1 in the UK, triple platinum, praised by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. Since then, the hits have kept coming: Turn Me On , Fire in My Soul , Shades of Grey , collaborations with Nile Rodgers, Kylie Minogue, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and remixes for Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, Coldplay and Depeche Mode.
The figures for 2026 speak for themselves: over 4 billion streams , residencies at Ushuaïa Ibiza and Omnia Las Vegas, headline appearances at Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Ultra Music Festival Miami, the Indianapolis 500, the Dutch F1 Grand Prix, and a sold-out show at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. He performs for over 2 million people worldwide each year. He also manages his own labels — Heldeep Records, OH2, and HILOMATIK.
